This is kind of pissing me off how everyone loves the twilight movie and is JUST STARTING to read the book?

i mean come on i LOVE twilight

and i love the book

but it was more special when no one else really liked it

like this girl in my class (journalism ) is in my group for this newspaper we were going to have an editorial on how well the twilight movie Incorporated with the twilight book. So i decided since i was the only one in the whole group who read all the books and saw the movie that i should do it. But this girl thinks that she should and shes only on page 100 in the twilight book and she only saw the movie. She didn't even like twilight before the movie when i was reading it she was like that's crazy how you can read all those books . Then she thought robert pattinson wasn't hot at all (i personally think hes one of the hottest alive) and now she comes in with his picture all over the place in her binder. it pisses me off. i think i deserve the article. but i already gave it to her because i was pissed and shes a stubborn person and i didn't feel like arguing but i just don't think its fair. am i crazy? help!This is kind of pissing me off how everyone loves the twilight movie and is JUST STARTING to read the book?
Yep, that's America for you. We take what we can while it's popular, then throw it away when the media says it's not cool anymore. This girl sounds like a total airhead to me; a follower who doesn't know how to be unique. I too read the books before there was even word of the movie, and it gets me extremely annoyed to see all these fangirls who don't know a thing about the books-- all they know is that there's a beautiful guy playing a vampire in some sort of movie somewhere (Robert Pattinson IS inhumanly gorgeous, by the way). So yeah, I feel your pain. Oh, and get that article back from the b*tch, by the way.

Umm no offence but you should'nt be really pissed off just because people happen to find the movie interesting so they started to read the book, thats sorta dumb. The movie and the book is for everyone out there to read and to watch, not just only you. But what your friend is doing, you have a right to be mad at her. But to the fans of twilight who barely started reading it, you should'nt be mad. The saga series is for everyone to enjoy :]

You'll look back on this in a few years and realize how foolish it is, and how silly you are for being upset over it. Of course, now you're peeved (you really should be the one doing the article). In a few years time, it won't even matter anymore. Don't get yourself all worked up.
you should do the article, i agree with you there. is there any sort of supervisor you can talk to about it? i mean, you are the more qualified writer if she hasn't even finished the book. your teacher will agree that she won't really be able to write the article. but otherwise, you shouldn't be unhappy that she likes twilight now. no matter why, she loves twilight, just like you do. you should talk to her about it, it's common ground. my neighbor did the exact same thing, but i was excited when she came over to borrow the book after seeing the movie. i've been trying to get her to read it for ages. some people just aren't big readers, and they have to fall in love with the story before they'll commit to reading it. i think that's weird, personally, but hey. just remember, she loves TWILIGHT, and that rocks. she loves bella, and edward, and their relationship, she loves all the cullens, and now she's exploring it further. encourage her, and make sure she finishes the series.
