How to get rid of certain dreams i'm having?

ok. this is kind of embarassing but lately i've been having dreams with robert pattinson, the actor who is playing edward cullen in the new twilight movie. it's not that i like him or anything. he's cute but i don't like his personality that much sometimes he's a little weird and seems to say the same things in his interviews and stuff. i really admire him as an actor, i liked his previous works which don't include twilight or harry potter or whatever new hype he gets into. im just a fan of his acting, but im not obsessed over him like every other girl there is.... i don't know, i think im imagining the perfect guy and somehow it manifests into ';robert'; in my dreams....maybe he's an unavailable guy which attracts me in my dreams...i have crushes on guys that i know in my life yet i don't have dreams about them. i know that i don't trust people that much due to commitment problems i have and so im imagining the perfect guy...i just hope it doesn't affect my decisions with guys later in my future....how do i get to the point where i can imagine the perfect guy in a guy im really interested in and not break the relationship just because im comparing him to ';rob'; ? how do i fix this problem? How to get rid of certain dreams i'm having?
you could probably ask girls in dating and relationships if they compare their current boyfriends to their last boyfriends. I thing you will find the answers interesting.

The dreams you are having sound like the result of not comparing your current relationship to old bad relationship but actually comparing your current relationship to your idea of the perfect guy.

hopefully your bf can match up to your idea of perfection before you rip his heart out in light that he won't and can't cut the mustard when it comes to being your bf when compared to perfect guy idealism. How to get rid of certain dreams i'm having?
Stop watching shows that have robert pattinson in it.

Go do something that will keep you busy to make sure you forget about him.

Don't worry it's not embarrassing, a'lot of people have this kind of problem as well.
Write him a letter. (You don't have to mail it.) In the letter, describe what you like about him, what you think his personality is like, and why you think the two of you would make a good match. After you are finished, read the letter out loud, and ask yourself if the contents of the letter are realistic. Then burn it.
stop sleeping. no sleeping= no dreams
When you see him in your dreams again, remember to pinch yourself to remind yourself that you are dreaming and maybe try and say to him [in the dream of course] please don't be in my dreams anymore?
