hey! i am having trouble thinking of what i want to do for my scratchboard project. we had to pick a letter out of a hat and i picked R and we have to base our subject of the piece on it... i am in love with robert pattinson so ofcourse i'm trying to incorporate him into it. i was thinking rollercoaster... i just don't know how to put these these things together.. can any one else think of things that start with R that will work or a creative idea?

If you're good at portraits, why not just do a portrait of Robert Pattinson? I wouldn't suggest incorporating a roller coaster since those wouldn't be easy to draw, but you could always draw him on a roller coaster.
If you need a bunch of things in your picture with an R, put Robert standing on a road with roses eating Rice Crispies with a rabbit. Or take two of those things and put them together.Scratchboard art project ideas?
I don't know if you're very experienced with scratch board, but scratch board is veryy difficult. I wouldn't suggest doing a portrait if its your first time using a scratch board. And I don't suggest you draw a roller coaster unless you are very experienced with scratch board. I would stick with something simple, like a ring, or a rose, and zoom in to let it fill the scratch board. Try to get all of the little details, and it will turn out nice.
